FRIDAY NIGHT GT1/LMP

Chassis
– JK Cheetah 21 only

  • Motor may be soldered to chassis, and front axle may be soldered to chassis
  • Motor bracket may be enlarged to allow better gear mesh
  • May brace rear uprights
  • Additional lead wire retainers maybe added
  • Guide tongue reinforcements maybe added
  • Pin tubes maybe added
  • Small amounts of steel, brass and plastic maybe added for stength and handling (0.2 square inches)(about 3” of .062′

Gears
– Any gear ratio allowed
– Only 48 pitch plastic/polymer spur gears may be used
– May solder pinion on motor
– Angle or straight cut gears are allowed

Tires
– Any diameter rear tire may be used.
– Minimum front tire diameter is .500” and must be at least 45 degree angle to the chassis.
– Lightweight front and rear wheels are allowed.

Axles
– Minimum rear axle diameter is 1/8″, and must be solid steel
– Minimum front axle diameter is 0.047” and must be solid steel
– Front axle may be bent but must pass through both chassis uprights

Motors
– Any 16D setup made for Parma, Proslot, or Kelly
– Tagged FCR armatures legal.

– Tagged 16D armatures 0.518 Maxium diameter are legal.

– The use of other armatures will result in the deduction of laps. This is to allow the racer to use up the equipment they have before buying new armatures.

– Any horizontal end bell hardware may be used
– Any motor brushes

– Any motor springs may be used
– Only 16D Magnets may be used and can be glued into position, shimmed, honed

– Magnets must be flat top.
– Oilite may be soldered or glued to the can.

– May use a flanged ball bearing in the can end. This is an attempt to save the racer money.
– New holes may be drilled in the can to attach the end bell, and screws holding the end bell on, may be added or replaced
– The can and/or magnets can be modified to provide axle clearance, and the can oilite may be notched so as to provide gear and/or chassis clearance
Bodies
– Body must be cut at or below the cut line, when cut line is present.
– Interiors must be a 3-dimensional driver. No paper or clear interiors are allowed
– 3 numbers are required, painted or stickers are preferred 3/8 ” tall or taller
– Front wheel wells must be left clear or the body cut to the horizontal center-line of the front axle or decals must be on the body but you must have front wheels.

– All windows must be left clear
LMP GT1 bodies Nights – May cut out the back of the bodies leaving ¼ inch across the top

Bite must be round and between .045” and .064” and 3.00” to 3.02” long.

Gears
Only 36 tooth 64 pitch straight cut plastic/polymer spur gears may be used.
May solder pinion on motor
Only 10 tooth 64 pitch S
traight cut pinion gear can be used.

Tires
Minimum rear tire diameter is 0.720”.
Minimum front tire diameter is .500” and must be at least 45 degree angle to the chassis.
Lightweight front and rear wheels are allowed.

Axles
3/32” rear axle but must be solid steel. Rear axle height can not be changed.
Minimum front axle diameter is 0.047” and must be solid steel
Front axle may be bent but must pass through both chassis uprights

Motors
Hawk 7 Un-opened
The motor-can cannot be modified to provide axle clearance.

The motor cannot modified to provide gear and/or chassis clearance
Bodies
